Erika Korowin is a Search Angel. Her interest in genealogy began in elementary school, when she created a family tree – back to her eight immigrant great-grandparents – for a school project. Since 2016, she has researched her own family in earnest, solving a few family mysteries along the way. She joined DNAngels in July 2022 as a research assistant and as a search angel, is committed to helping clients find their biological truth with compassion.
Erika completed the Boston University Genealogical Research Certificate program in 2021 and takes continuing education courses each year. Erika is a Michigan native and lives in Santiago, Chile with her husband and toddler daughter. She speaks Spanish and Portuguese, and works at the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile’s Music Institute as Coordinator for continuing education programs and visiting professors.
