
Lara Schultz is a passionate leader and philanthropist whose career and volunteer work have made a meaningful impact on communities and individuals alike. As a Genetic Genealogist ,Staffing Coordinator and Project Manager at DNAngels.org, Lara uses her expertise in DNA analysis and genealogical research to reunite individuals with their biological families. Her dedication to helping others is reflected in her management of key organizational projects, including volunteer recruitment, establishing and revising operating procedures, policy development, and co-hosting the YouTube show Lost & Found: No More Secrets.
Throughout her career, Lara has demonstrated a deep commitment to philanthropy. Spearheading educational initiatives for schools in New Jersey and Arizona, establishing programs to benefit students and families. She established an art program for elementary schools in Chandler, Arizona, bringing creative opportunities to over 1600 children annually. Her efforts earned her the Chandler Regional School District Award for Volunteerism and the Got Milk Foundation “Teacher of the Week” award.
Lara’s involvement in the Project Graduation Initiative within her community was deeply
motivated by a commitment to student safety. Recognizing the importance of providing safe alternatives for graduation celebrations, Lara dedicated herself to creating substance-free. These all-night celebrations ensured students could enjoy their achievements in a secure and supportive environment. Through her efforts, she not only raised significant funds but also brought communities together to prioritize the well-being of their youth, helping to save lives and build lasting memories. Her ability to rally volunteers, secure community support, and manage logistics demonstrated her exceptional organizational skills and dedication to fostering positive experiences for students and their families.
In addition to her philanthropic work, Lara has a strong academic and professional background. She holds a Certificate in Genealogical Research from Boston University, an MBA from Santa Clara University, and a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from the Pennsylvania State University. She has further honed her skills by attending many advanced genealogy institutes, and conferences. With her unwavering dedication to service, exceptional leadership abilities, and collaborative approach, Lara Schultz will bring a strong philanthropic vision and community-centered perspective to the Board of Directors.
