Jessica Helms – Intake Specialist Extraordinaire

Team Lead Tammy Ramos rightly praises Jessica’s remarkable journey at DNAngels. As our Intake Specialist, Jessica has made an incredible transformation, stepping out of her comfort zone to support the Intake team. Despite having a family and a full-time job, Jessica’s commitment to helping our clients navigate their initial steps in their DNAngels journey is nothing short of commendable.

Katharine Saunders, another team lead, emphasizes the critical role of the Intake department in setting the tone for our clients’ experiences. She highlights how Jessica’s patience, compassion, and readiness to provide extra assistance when needed has made her an invaluable asset to the organization. Jessica’s kindness and ability to establish meaningful connections with our clients truly shine through, ensuring that their cases are prepared for the dedicated Angels to begin their work.

Katharine Saunders – An Exceptional Leader

Katharine Saunders is not a newcomer to the title of Volunteer of the Month; she’s earned this honor for the second time, and with good reason. Team Lead Ashlee Krump lauds Katharine’s exceptional work in taking on the responsibility of a new team, devoting countless hours to prepare cases, set policies, and create operating procedures. Her dedication is evident in her willingness to work with new team members during training, showcasing her all-around excellence.

Executive Director and Founder of DNAngels Laura Olmsted recognized Katharine’s remarkable leadership in a long-term project. Katharine volunteered from the outset and, as the project gained momentum, asked to lead it full time. Her proactive approach, willingness to guide, and dedication to the project’s success made it an easy decision to entrust her with the responsibility.
