Deb Quinn

Deb has lived in Queensland, Australia, for 20 years, though she is originally from Sydney. She is married and has three adult children, two adult stepchildren, and five step-grandchildren. Her background is diverse—she has worked as a Beauty Therapist, in Corporate IT, as a Kinesiologist, and has started three businesses from the ground up. Deb and her husband love their camper trailer and take off for some much-needed downtime whenever they can. She is the family’s go-to person when something needs fixing or healing, earning her the nickname Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman.

Deb has a passion for solving all kinds of puzzles and loves nothing more than sticking with a task until it’s fixed, healed, or solved. As a child, she spent hours listening to her Nana’s stories about their family, sparking a lifelong interest in researching her ancestors. When she discovered that her husband was adopted, she set out to find his biological parents. She successfully located his mother, but his father proved more difficult to track down. Eventually, she reached out to DNAngels for help.

“Being a client of DNAngels has given me an understanding from both sides. I know how it feels to be the client,” Deb says. Volunteering for DNAngels was a natural fit for her. “It’s solving puzzles every day!”
