Tammy is a Research Assistant. She is an adoptee who was adopted during the Baby Scoop Era, 1945–1973. It took her almost 50 years to uncover her own truth, and she has been in reunion with her birth family since 2016. Tammy believes with all her being that every adoptee has a legal and moral right to their own biological truth. It has become her mission to support other adoptees, NPE (Non Paternal Event or Not Parent Expected), or former foster children in uncovering their families of origin. Tammy’s love of genealogy and the truth motivates her each and every day to undo all the secrets of the past. She is a Religious Science Practitioner who loves learning, genealogy, travel, solving puzzles, and spending quality time with friends, the family that raised her, and her biological family. Tammy lives in Hilliard, Ohio, with her husband, Jeff, and super mutt, Bodhi. She has two adult daughters, three adult stepchildren, and four step-grandchildren. She has worked in the beauty industry as a manicurist for over 30 years and is a member of the National Genealogy Society. She has attended numerous genetic genealogy conferences, seminars, and programs over the past decade.
