Amy Frederick is a passionate Search Angel with an unstoppable drive to uncover the truth. A natural problem-solver with a heart for helping others, she thrives on piecing together the puzzles of genealogy and DNA mysteries. Her journey began in a moment of serendipity—while on an anniversary trip to Delray Beach, her husband woke her at 5:30 a.m. with life-changing news: his DNA results had arrived. By the time their flight landed back in Ohio, Amy had cracked the case—identifying his birth father and connecting with newfound family members.
Two months later, a half-sister’s response confirmed it all. That thrilling success sparked a lifelong passion, leading Amy to DNAngels, where she found both a calling and a community. Beyond her search work, Amy wears many hats—devoted wife, proud mother of three (and one bonus!), and loving grandmother to three wonderful grandkids. She is a fierce advocate for children, serving as a Special Education Director and volunteering as a Parent Representative for the Family Children First Council in Trumbull County. Armed with a Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice and a Master’s in Education, she’s dedicated to making a difference both in her professional life and in her volunteer work.
Originally from Kansas City, MO, Amy comes from a big, blended family—three sisters, one brother, and two step-sisters. She’s called Northeast Ohio home since 1988, but her warm-weather dreams have her eyeing a sunnier future. When she’s not solving family mysteries, you’ll find her cherishing time with loved ones, scrapbooking, or diving into her next big challenge—because for Amy, every puzzle is just waiting to be solved.
