Celebrating Lorie Cousin: DNAngels’ Volunteer of the Month for June

At DNAngels, the heart of our organization lies in the dedication and passion of our volunteers. This June, we are thrilled to recognize Lorie Cousin as our Volunteer of the Month. Lorie’s contributions have made a significant impact on our team, and her peers have nothing but praise for her. Here’s what her co-workers have to say:

Jennifer Schweibinz shares, “It is a joy to work with Lorie! Her skills add immense value to DNAngels. She eagerly takes on projects of any size and provides feedback positively, whether she agrees or feels a need to redirect. Her witty one-liners always make me laugh, and her intelligence is truly impressive. Lorie’s presence in the DNAngels community enhances us all, and I am excited to get to know her even better!”

Lara Schultz expresses, “Lorie has been a wonderful addition to our team. She has seamlessly become an integral member and is always there to help with anything. She helped proofread SOPs for me at all odd hours and she is available for any law enforcement issues we ask about. She’s willing to take on anything at the drop of a hat. She has even joined in our goofy daily Marco Polos. I’m so thankful to know her and have her as a friend.”

Cindy Billingsley highlights Lorie’s versatility, “Since joining the Executive Admin Team, Lorie has been an incredible asset! She collaborates with the Speaker Team to coordinate and submit speaker presentation requests; a challenging task she handles with ease. Additionally, she serves as an assistant to Aimee Rose Haynes. And this is in addition to her work as a Search Angel. Lorie consistently demonstrates a great attitude and a willingness to help wherever needed. DNAngels is very fortunate to have Lorie as a volunteer, and I am grateful to have her on the Executive Admin Team!”

Kate Howard appreciates Lorie’s organizational skills, “Lorie is so organized. As a valued member of the DNAngels speaker team, she’s always on the ball, reminding us of deadlines and other important dates. I’m so glad that Lorie joined DNAngels!”

Laura Olmsted, our Executive Director, sums it up perfectly, “Lorie has made such a difference on our team. If there is an issue and Lorie can fix it, she is the first one to volunteer and she does it with grace and swiftness. I always feel a sense of relief when Lorie offers her help because I know the issue will be taken care of and done with minimal follow-up required.”

Lorie Cousin’s dedication, intelligence, and positive attitude have made her an invaluable part of DNAngels. Her willingness to tackle any task, no matter how challenging, and her ability to infuse humor into her work have endeared her to everyone. We are incredibly grateful for Lorie’s contributions and proud to have her as our Volunteer of the Month. Congratulations, Lorie!
