Julie is a Search Angel. She became interested in genealogy after the passing of her father, when she realized that she didn’t know very much about her family history. After taking a DNA test, she learned that something was not quite right. That led to learning as much about genetic genealogy as she could. Soon she was helping friends and family members figure out their own DNA mysteries.
Julie majored in sociology in college and loved learning about people and society. She loves doing research of all types and is honored to be a part of such an amazing organization as DNAngels which is dedicated to helping each and every client on their DNA journey. She is a member of the National Genealogical Society, and the American Historical Society of Germans from Russia.
Julie enjoys spending time with her husband, adult children and grandchildren. In addition to genealogy, she enjoys listening to audiobooks, feeding her backyard birds, walking and spending time with her 2 little dogs, Daisy & Roscoe.
