The January 2022 Volunteer of the Month is Jennifer Schwiebinz! In true Laura fashion she was – well not quite STOLEN from another group, but pretty close! DNAngels acquired Jennifer in the merger with Discover Family, and we have to say, if that’s all we got out of the merger, it was well worth it! Her warmth, cheerful demeanor and sense of humor make her a favorite among clients and staff alike. Jennifer hit the ground running in late August 2021, first learning the intake process and then becoming an Angel and getting her first 25 cases solved in record time so she could be listed on our website. “Jennifer is incredibly pro active. Before we even mention we need help with a task, she anticipates our need and puts her skills to good use.” says Laura Olmsted. “She’s incredibly thoughtful and generous,” says Tara Dawn Moore, “when I was sick over Christmas, she ordered Christmas dinner to be delivered to my house!”
Jennifer also is a big part of the huge success of our Giving Tuesday fundraiser. She pointed out that a lot of employers had programs to donate to charities and reached out to her own employer to secure a $5,000 donation to DNAngels. She has also taken on the task of leading a team to revise our Vision and Mission Statements and rewrite some of the content on our website.
Jennifer hails from New Jersey where she lives with her husband and 4 sons, where she enjoys sewing, playing cribbage, and spending time with her family.
