Celebrating 5000 Cases Solved!
Dear DNAngels Community,
We are thrilled to announce a monumental milestone in our journey – 5000 cases solved! Since our inception in February 2019, DNAngels has evolved into a formidable nonprofit organization, embodying the spirit of compassion and commitment to reuniting families.
From a humble beginning with just 5 search angels, DNAngels has grown into a powerhouse of 93 volunteers. Among them, 23 are dedicated genetic genealogists, with the rest forming an invaluable support network comprising intake teams, researchers, and administration staff. Together, they have tirelessly worked to bring closure and connection to those affected by DNA surprises.
Our dedication to the community goes beyond the boundaries of cost. DNAngels specializes in assisting anyone in the community searching to identify a biological parent, and we do so without charging any fees. However, the reality is that what is free to our clients is not free to us. Operating an organization of this scale requires substantial resources – our monthly overhead is several thousand dollars.
Despite these challenges, our team remains unwavering in its commitment to providing this service without cost to those who seek our help. We believe that everyone has the right to know their origins, and we are driven by the principle that financial constraints should not stand in the way of such a fundamental need.
The success of DNAngels is not just measured in numbers but in the countless lives touched, stories rewritten, and families rejoined. Each solved case represents a triumph of persistence, empathy, and expertise, a testament to the incredible work our volunteers put in day after day.
